BREXIT IS BACK ON THE MEDIA AGENDA
Suffolk for Europe Vice Chair Philip Gough recently attended the BBC recording of Question Time at Snape. The programme famously tries to avoid the subject of Brexit but this time, Philip explained exactly why Brexit is a disaster, and left MP Victoria Atkins unable to give a coherent response. Suffolk for Europe was one of the first pro-EU regional groups set up after the referendum. We are run by a group of volunteers and supported by hundreds of activists committed to promoting the EU within Suffolk. We believe in welcoming EU citizens, sharing news from the EU and keeping our county as closely connected to Europe as possible. Our goal is to rejoin the EU at the earliest opportunity, and recognise there is much groundwork to be laid to make that happen.
We organise street stalls across Suffolk, join pro-EU rallies in London, promote the campaigns of pro-EU organisations and are active on social media.
We put on political and social events to help the people of Suffolk better understand the EU and the consequences of Brexit.
We are a non partisan organisation that welcomes any and all who support the UK rejoining the EU. We have ties to other grassroots groups regionally, and affiliations with national pro-EU organisations.
