Tomorrow morning, if you are not too busy, there are two ways you could participate in some campaigning:
1) Radio Suffolk Friday 18th January 9am-10am: It has been suggested that our supporters take part in the Mark Murphy phone-in programme. There will be questions on many topics including the County Council budget, CABs and poverty in Suffolk. You could take part by phoning in with Brexit points and respond to comments made by other callers. One of our members will be asking questions about the effect of Brexit on the Suffolk economy and particularly the Port of Felixstowe.
2) Friday 18th January 10am for 10.30am Debate with Tim Martin at The Cricketers in Ipswich. Tim Martin is the owner of the Wetherspoons pub chain and an avid Brexiter. Recently he has been touring his pubs (in Leave areas), holding debates and promoting Brexit. In several pubs he has been given a hard time by Remainers and tomorrow the Suffolk EU Alliance will be doing their bit to challenge him. Some Remainers have been banned from these meetings so it is best not to bring flags or wear large badges
The Cricketers is next to the Crown Pools at 51 Crown Street, Ipswich, IP1 3JA. From 10.00am we will meet outside the pub and at 10.10 we will move inside and to get some seats. Please let me know if you are coming and we will look out for you.
Tuesday 29th January 7pm: A general meeting at The Seckford Golf Club, Woodbridge, IP13 6NT. An optional meal will be served from 6pm. The meal this week is roast chicken or a vegetarian alternative which is mushroom and stilton wellington. The price is £8 to be paid on the evening and must be prebooked by Friday 25th January at the latest by email: suffolkeu@gmail.com
