About
A message from one of our members, Owen Southwold. Suffolk EU Alliance will join Owen in this Ipswich walk and hope you will too. There are various meeting points if you don’t want to do the full walk.

Hello friends, on Friday November 1st, I plan to celebrate still being in the EU by walking with my EU flag held high, the 5 miles from Kesgrave Tesco to Ipswich Cornhill, from 7.00am-9.00am that morning (Friday Nov 1st).
Hopefully this will wake up locals to a Remain presence in Ipswich and encourage them to join our movement.
Along the way I shall wave hello to people at bus stops etc. but I won’t stop to engage. Upon arrival at Cornhill I will roll up my flag and go for a coffee at Costa’s.
If anyone wishes to tag along, that’s great. If you happen to see me as you drive past, give me a toot.
Start on Ropes Drive Kesgrave
7.00 KESGRAVE TESCO
Note, if parking at Tesco, max 3 hours stay.
(Turn left on to Woodbridge Road)
7.50 IPSWICH HOSPITAL WOODBRIDGE ROAD ENTRANCE
Please note, this is NOT main entrance of hospital. It is a staff entrance. Meeting point is the bus stop here.
(Stay on Woodbridge Road past Lattice Barn pub)
8.20 SKODA GARAGE WOODBRIDGE RD
Meeting point is bus stop opposite this garage.
(Onwards, turn down hill WARWICK ROAD, to join ST HELENS STREET)
8.45 MAJOR’S CORNER NEWSAGENTS
Opposite the old Odeon cinema.
(Turn into Tavern Street, go past Argos etc)
9.00 CORNHILL
Finish with a quick “we have not Brexited” photo, then head to Costa’s for a coffee.
I think we can expect some negative shouts from disgruntled Leavers but I am sure it will cheer up many Remainers too. After all, we will still be in the EU that morning!
