Talk
Lord Andrew Adonis is a pro-European Union Labour peer and former cabinet minister. He’s coming to Ipswich to talk about where he thinks we currently are with Brexit as the final stage of the Tory leadership race is underway. He’ll be discussing recent developments, what he thinks is going to happen with Brexit and conclude with what he believes needs to be done to make sure we get a People’s Vote and a Remain victory.
After his talk, Andrew will do a Q&A with the audience.

Bio
Andrew Adonis is a senior Labour party politician and a leading People’s Vote Campaigner. He began his career as an academic at Oxford University, before becoming a journalist at the Financial Times and then The Observer.
He was later appointed as Head of the Number 10 Policy Unit by Prime Minister Tony Blair and in 2005 was made a life peer and became Minister for Schools, forging Teach First, academies and the London Challenge. In 2008 he became Minister then Secretary of State for Transport, pioneering HS2 and Crossrail. He was founding chair of the independent National Infrastructure Commission until he resigned to fight Brexit.
He has authored several books such as “Education, Education, Education: Reforming England’s schools” “5 Days in May: The Coalition and Beyond”, and most recently “Saving Britain: How We Must Change to Prosper in Europe” with Will Hutton.
Parking
