European Movement West Midlands (Warwick for Europe) is organising a Zoom webinar with Michael Dougan and Mike Galsworthy. The subject is “Where are we now on Brexit and where do we want to be?”
Prof Michael Dougan is Professor of European Law and Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law, at the University of Liverpool. He has provided both written and live expert testimony to the UK Parliament on many occasions and acted as a fact checker for BBC News “Reality Check” service during the Brexit referendum.
Michael will share with us his views on the new EU-UK agreement. Will it be the basis of an ongoing consensus or one of ongoing contention as to its interpretation and implementation? What are likely to be the key issues and how might they pan out?
Dr Mike Galsworthy is the co-founder of Scientists for EU and Healthier IN and a media commentator about the effects of Brexit on the scientific community in the United Kingdom. He is currently a visiting researcher at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Mike will be addressing where we are now on Brexit and where we want to get to. How do we get there and what are the key issues involved including the likely time frames?
