About

Ipswich door-knocking and leafleting

To mark the 3rd anniversary of the referendum, People’s Vote are holding a nationwide action weekend.  They want to target “soft leavers” in Labour constituencies that voted to leave.  Unlike previous action days when we’ve run stalls, often in multiple Suffolk towns, we’ll be doing door to door canvassing.  We’ll be pairing experienced and confident canvasses with those who haven’t done it before, and dropping leaflets to homes where we get no answer.

All volunteers are very welcome – the more the better. The morning will start with a full briefing from Christina Birt, East of England People’s Vote Regional Campaign Manager who will provide guidance and support throughout the morning. So please arrive at 9.30m prompt. This is an important event in the national campaign. Labour constituencies are a priority at this time and so it is important as many volunteers as possible can get involved in this event. We are very grateful for your support.

The event will end at 11.30am with a short feedback session. Please also write to Sandy Martin (sandy.martin.mp@parliament.uk) and let him know that you support a People’s Vote and will be volunteering on 22 June in Ipswich. Looking forward to seeing you!
