Four important notices:
1) Please come and support our street stall this Saturday 22nd September in Ipswich 10am-1pm. We plan to be at the bottom of Lloyds Avenue near Debenhams but if there is not enough space we shall be nearby on the main street ( Westgate Street).
If you can come and join us for an hour or just to say hello it will be very much appreciated so that we shall have a really strong presence in the town.
We will be handing out leaflets, encouraging people to sign The People’s Vote petition and asking them to make their views known on our popular Brexitometer. Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to help, we look forward to meeting you there.
2) Friday 28th September: The fundraising evening at Bell House has been CANCELLED as we want to focus on our campaigning.
3) Meeting at The Seckford Golf Club Tuesday, 2nd October 7-9pm. We will providing an update on all our local campaigning and discussing how we can promote ‘The People’s Vote’ campaign. Please join us.
A pre-booked optional meal is available before the meeting. The cost is £8.00 and the choice is a meat or vegetarian lasagne both served with salad. Please pre-book at suffolkeu@gmail.com before Saturday 30th September. The meal will be served from 6.00pm.

Future dates
Saturday 22nd September, Ipswich 10am-1pm A street stall to promote ‘the Peoples Vote’ petition. We will be setting up at the bottom of Lloyds Avenue near Debenhams but if there is no space available we will be somewhere nearby on the main street. We want to show a strong presence in Ipswich so please let me know if you can come and support this street stall. Thank you to all those who have already volunteered.
Saturday 29th September, Lowestoft 10am-1pm A street stall to promote the petition demanding a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal. This will be part of a national campaign organised by the European Movement, Open Britain, Britain for Europe and several other leading Remain umbrella groups. We will let you know the location of this street stall asap.
This will be our first action on the streets of Lowestoft. Your support is needed to make the event a success.
Please email me if you are able to support one or more of the above events. The more support we have on the streets and the bigger our presence the greater will be our impact upon changing the minds of local people.
At all of these street stalls we will be asking people to sign ‘the People’s Vote’ petition, handing out leaflets, talking to passers by and using Brexitometers to gauge the feelings of people about Brexit and an opportunity to vote again on what the government negotiates with the EU. It will be a good chance to get to know and work with other members of our group. Please email me if you would like to volunteer to help with any of these street stalls and let me know of other towns where you think we should campaign in the future.

The Golf Club is near The Seckford Hall Hotel and is on the Seckford Hall Road 3 turnings beyond the hotel entrance. Please see the map below (satellite is best).

Tuesday 2nd October 7pm The meeting will focus on our People’s Vote campaign and our Brexitometer progress in both Ipswich and Lowestoft.

Sunday 23rd September Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.
Sunday 30th September Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham.
Members will be taking part in anti-Brexit rallies at both of these events. Contact me for more information.
Saturday 20th October A March in London to promote ‘The People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal’.
Following the great success of the March for a People’s Vote on 23rd June the organisers have announced that we will be marching to Westminster again on Saturday 20th October with an even bigger and better march before the ‘deal’ returns to Parliament. This march HAS TO BE HUGE so please come and encourage all your friends and family to join you.
We shall be travelling on the train that passes through Woodbridge Station at 8.25 am and Ipswich station at 8.52 am. We are not going to suggest return times as people will have different ideas about how late they wish to stay in London. The train one hour later should also get you to London in good time. When we know the route of the march we will let you know a location in London where we will all meet up before the march begins. Other groups will be travelling from Cambridge and Norfolk, I can help you connect up with them if those locations are more convenient starting points for your journey. Train tickets can be booked through the ‘Trainline’ or ‘Abellio Greater Anglia’ websites and we advise you to book asap to avoid price rises.
