I’ve just received notification that Lord Andrew Adonis will be coming to Maldon in Essex on Tuesday 5th February 19.30-21.30 to run a People’s Vote Session for Essex for Europe. They hope to get a capacity crowd as BBC look East cameras will be there. It is a free event and I’m sure some of you would like to attend. For further information and to register for your free ticket please click here.
I also forgot to mention in our newsletter yesterday that we are looking for more people to join us on the Committee. Please consider helping us with this important task. Our Alliance is growing and we need more help as we plan for the future. Please contact me or speak to one of the committee if you would like to offer your assistance.
Please keep up the pressure on our MPs by writing to them and asking to meet them. Also thank you to all those who have been writing such excellent letters to our newspapers, please continue with this important task.
I encourage everyone to look at our website and Facebook pages to discover more about our campaigning.
In the next couple of weeks we have several important campaigning events where we hope you will be able to join us.
500 Feet Action Day Ipswich: Saturday 9th February 10am, The Cornhill. This will be a massive leafleting event. The new leaflets provided by The People’s Vote Campaign will be specifically targeted for Ipswich and we need 250 people (500 feet) to deliver them. Please contact me if you can help and thank you to all those who have already signed up.
10.00am Gather at the Cornhill for some EU joy and a big photo moment. Grab a coffee as the bundles of leaflets are distributed among supporters. By 10.30am we plan to set off delivering the leaflets all over Ipswich to share what the People’s Vote means for everyone.
If you have roads where you would like to deliver please email me with details so we can get your bundle prepared and tick the roads off on our map.
For parking we recommend The Crown Street car park which is £1.00 an hour, you collect a ticket and pay when you leave. This is convenient for this event as many of us will not know how long we will need parking in central Ipswich. (NB for cars that park before 2pm the maximum stay is 5 hours so don’t be caught out!)
We are also going to need a working party in the days before this event to count and bundle leaflets, more information later.
Thursday 14th February : London, come with us to support Steve Bray and the SODEM ( Stand of Defiance European Movement) activists outside Parliament. We have been told this is the date of the next ‘Meaningful Vote’ but of course nothing is certain!
Some of us are catching the 8.38am train from Woodbridge which connects with the 9.09am train in Ipswich and arrives at London Liverpool Street at 10.19am. We are travelling back on the last train to Woodbridge which leaves London Liverpool Street at 9.00pm. Contact me if you are coming so I can keep you fully informed.
Roger and I will also be joining SODEM on Tuesday, 5th February, same train times if anyone want to join us.
Friday 8th February : One of our members has been granted a meeting with Dr T. Coffey, the Suffolk Coastal MP. No information has been provided about the venue or the time but we shall let you know asap so that we can show support.

This meeting is mainly for supporters who live in the Ipswich area but all are welcome to attend.
