On Thursday 15th November SEUA hosted a screening of David Wilkinson’s film Postcards from the 48% at The Cut in Halesworth. After an exceptionally turbulent day in Westminster, over 80 people came to see the documentary and participate in a Q & A session with the director which was moderated by David Baldry.
Before seeing the film there was a chance for SEUA members and supporters to have a drink together. These occasions are an excellent forum to discuss strategy, the latest political developments and to forge friendships which will sustain us in the months ahead.
In his documentary, the film-maker visited contrasting regions of the UK in the wake of the 2016 referendum, speaking to ‘ordinary’ people, politicians and celebrities. The consequences of Brexit were revealed in many different ways. The making of the film was clearly a labour of love, and Wilkinson revealed his undiminished passion for opposing the senselessness which the UK’s departure from the EU embodies.
