A Call to Action!

Friday 29th March: 7.00am – 9.00am
The ‘We’re not going to Brexit (after all)’ Breakfast Party.
The venue:  The Woodbridge Riverside Cafe/Restaurant

You don’t have to be there the whole time, we just need lots of people dropping in. BBC Suffolk will be there and so numbers are very important!

The breakfast party is to celebrate not leaving the EU on March 29th.  BBC Suffolk have invited us to organise this event which will also be a live discussion programme. We will be contributing to the programme along with a Brexit Breakfast group at a different location. For a special price of £7.00 the cafe will provide a hot drink and breakfast sandwich which you pay for when you arrive at the  Riverside cafe. We’d love you to join us on this significant day!

Please sign up through this Eventbrite link
so that we know how many are coming and for catering purposes.

The Revoke Article 50 Petition

To promote this petition we have had 5,000 flyers printed. Some supporters are going to promote the petition on the Ipswich Waterfront on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Others want to campaign in Felixstowe (Saturday am) and Woodbridge. We will be telling people about the petition as we hand out leaflets in the street. They can also be posted through letterboxes or put on car windscreens etc. If you would like to leaflet the area where you live or join in with the groups listed above please contact me. You may wish to leaflet elsewhere if this is more convenient to you.

Please also make sure that you have signed the petition: ‘Revoke Article 50 and Remain in the EU’ yourself. It now has nearly 6 million votes and you can see how the votes are increasing at a rapid pace.

If you think you may have already signed don’t worry about signing twice as the website will only accept your vote once and will quickly reject any more votes from you. When you sign also have alook at the petition map.You can click different areas of the UK to see how much support the petition has in each constituency which is quite interesting. We feel there needs to be more of a response from our local constituents.

Important – Who can sign?
1)British citizens and UK resident including non-citizens legally resident in the UK –   no matter how long they have lived here.
2) British citizens NOT resident in the UK – no matter how long they have been away.
3) British citizens and UK residents of any age – even if they are under voting age.

Young people and children can sign if they understand the petition and have their own email address. If you’re not comfortable with your children having their own e-mail account, up to two people can sign petitions using the same email address. This can only happen as long as the two people use the same postcode.

I can send the QR code to anyone who requests it and it will also be on the leaflets.

Please do make every effort to sign the petition and share with everyone you know.

With best wishes for our future inside the EU,
Jackie
