SEUA is a cross-party initiative for Suffolk in East Anglia promoting the benefits of Britain remaining within the EU. We disseminate information relating to Brexit including its local impact, economic challenges and loss of educational exchanges and opportunities and we provide (tactical) electoral support for pro-EU candidates.
Established not long after the 2016 referendum, the Alliance brings together many people who share a common objective but come with varied political positions and backgrounds. Since 2016 SEUA has developed experience and grown in numbers and now has the ability and influence to promote the benefits of EU membership on behalf of individuals and the region as a whole.
SEUA actively recruits and welcomes new members and works with local supporters and pro-EU voters/residents/businesses in Suffolk and pro-EU organisations regionally and nationally to raise awareness about the complex issues surrounding Brexit, and to widen support for remaining a member of the EU. The Alliance provides opportunities for local people concerned about our nation’s future, its relationship with the EU and the impacts that being ‘in’ or ‘out’ may bring through regular meetings, events and rallies.
