Dear Supporters and Members,

You may well have seen the action on both Regional and National Television with the launch of ‘The People’s Vote’ Campaign. The Suffolk EU Alliance and other sister organisations across the East of England were given wonderful coverage of the launch in Cambridge where activists were addressed by a range of speakers from across the political divide, NHS staff and other campaigners.

We have already been taking the fight forward, spreading the word about the People’s Vote petition and getting more people involved. In July we held a successful street stall in Halesworth where over 90 people signed the petition.  In August another 170 people signed the petition in Woodbridge.

As the Autumn begins, we feel that it is of great urgency that we continue to spread the word about ‘The People’s Vote’ to demand the right to vote on the final Brexit deal. So please come and help us run these street stalls in our local towns.

Saturday 15th September, Felixstowe 10am-1pm A street stall to promote the petition demanding a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal. We shall be setting up near Marks and Spencers.
Do seriously consider whether you can spare an hour or two so that we have strong presence on Felixstowe High Street.

Saturday 22nd September, Ipswich 10am-1pm A street stall to promote ‘the Peoples Vote’ petition. We will let you know the location asap. We want to show a strong presence in Ipswich so please let me know if you can come and support this street stall.

Saturday 29th September, Lowestoft 10am-1pm A street stall to promote the petition demanding a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal. This will be part of a national campaign organised by the European Movement, Open Britain, Britain for Europe and several other leading Remain umbrella groups. We will let you know the location of this street stall asap.
This will be our first action on the streets of Lowestoft. Your support is needed to make the event a success.

Please email me if you are able to support one or more of the above event. The more support we have on the streets and the bigger our presence the greater will be our impact upon changing the minds of local people.

At all of these street stalls we will be asking people to sign ‘the People’s Vote’ petition, handing out leaflets, talking to passers by and using Brexitometers to gauge the feelings of people about Brexit and an opportunity to vote again on what the government negotiates with the EU. It will be a good chance to get to know and work with other members of our group. Please email me if you would like to volunteer to help with any of these street stalls and let me know of other towns where you think we should campaign in the future.

If you haven’t yet signed the petition which now has 296,000 signatures please follow this link
